Glad it is done

I've been using Turbo Tax for a number of years now and I find it very easy to use. I have gotten several of my friends to use it also and they really like it too.
The explanation of differ terms has especially been useful to me.

Best way to do taxes ever!

We've been using Turbo Tax for about 10 years - never a problem once, and it seems to get easier every year.
What's great about it: Thinks of everything - love that you can go back as needed

Really Easy & Thorough

In 2010 & 2012, my employers ended my employment with about a month of extended work which was reported on a 1099-Misc. I was still acting as an employee of the firm...this move benefitted my employers as it moved off their payroll records. However, in reporting this on my taxes...the program wants to report this added income as being earned from a business that I own. Which was not true. For some reason in my 2013 return, the program was looking for income from my business and would not let me E-file the return until I completed info on my vehicle used as part of my business...which doesn't exist. This was the only glitch i encountered.
What's great about it: Covered everything...I feel I got the refund I deserved
What's not so great: Had some issues with Schedule C
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

turbo tax for 5 years

I have used turbo tax for 5 years. It makes it simple, has always been a safe and quick way to get my refunds. I have consistently gotten a larger return with turbo tax than doing my taxes myself on paper.

It's a snap

Every year I have a foreboding sense of doom when tax time rolls around. But every year I use TurboTax and all of those feelings are quickly put to rest. The program walks you through each step so that you don't have to worry about remembering to include things, and I can do it in my pajamas from the comfort of my home. I love it and will continue to use TurboTax every year.
What's great about it: Very Comprehensive

Pension from Foreign Country

The Retirement Pension of the Netherlands does not submit a 1099-R. Filling in the spaces required by TurboTax (ie state abbreviations and zip) are contrary to Colorado State requirements. There is no Federal payer number from the Netherlands, but TurboTax software requires it. This needs fixing.
What's great about it: None
What's not so great: Not easy to use 1099-R for pension from The Netherlands

I felt that my returns were a little on the difficult side with all the variables that even some preparers may have trouble with. The program was a gift that I was reluctant to use till I started the interview process. The thought of if you are smart enough to sit across the desk and answer the questions while someone else prepared the return the you are smart enough to use this program.
What's great about it: the program is very educational
What's not so great: would like to be able to look forward as the interview is taking place

Super easy

It took me less than an hour to file my taxes. TurboTax walks you through every step, which makes the arduous task of tax preparation super easy. I highly recommend this product.
