Great Help.

Liked it. Certainly easier than doing it by hand. Also, like the information carried over from last years return.
Comment - Don't understand the Error Review. It instructs me to fill in prescribed numbers in certain specified spots. Why doesn't TTax do it?
Also, when editing some sections, there are 'yes/no' type questions which are not stored so they must be re-entered when doing a review.

Have used TurboTax for 18 years now. Even though I'm retired now and have had a simple return the last 5 years TurboTax is still a much easier way to file taxes than getting forms and doing by hand myself. Started using in 1995 when my tax situation was much more complicated. Also do my daughters and grandsons returns using the deluxe version. Keep up the good work with yearly improvements.

Easy and no errors

In the late nineties we would go to a tax preparation service who basically did what TurboTax does but not as thorough and charging three times or more what the TurboTax program costs. As long as you keep your records and receipts for the year handy using TurboTax is the way to go.

An Excellent Experience

I've used TurboTax for years, and it seems to get better with every edition. The instructions are well-written and I feel confident that I'm being asked every appropriate question. I can add W-2s and 1099s as they arrive in the mail and don't have to leave everything to the last minute; I can just pick up where I left off. The final reviews are very helpful, and the e-filing, both Federal and State, couldn't have been easier. I'll definitely be back next year.
What's great about it: Easy-to-follow instructions; friendly feel.

What's not so great: New laws not explained

Makes Tax Returns Almost Easy

I gave up on using my own spreadsheet as taxes got more and more complex. TurboTax works well with our relatively simple financial situation (pensions, most investments in IRAs, no rental properties or businesses).
What's great about it: explains required info clearly
What's not so great: have to interrupt filing to pay for state e-filing

Simple, accurate, affordable

I've used TT for YEARS now, and swear by it. The software is so easy to navigate, and the guided tour ensures you don't miss a thing. And when you're not sure how to answer a particular question, the help and online community help are stellar.
Truly this software is the standard by which other personal tax software is measured. I'm a customer for life.
What's great about it: guided steps; great help; affordable; understandable
