Not too bad

The turbotax program allowed me to prepare and file my taxes quickly. The federal preparation was straight-forward, however the state and local data was somewhat confusing. The prompts weren't as clear as they could be and the instruction with local taxes was unclear. I am still not sure if my local taxes are filed after doing my state taxes. The payment process was equally as confusing. I was supposed to receive one free state filing however turbotax charged me to file. This needs to be explained more clearly on the box/description so that customers know exactly what they are receiving and what they will have to pay for.
What's great about it: Federal tax was easy to follow and fill out.
What's not so great: State/local portion was confusing and didn't have enough detail to describe the line items that needed to be filled out.

Quality and Relief

Noticed my W2 STATE INCOME TAX WAS NOT SHOWING FOR THE STATE FORMS- TRIED TO GO BACK TO AMEND THE
STATE AMOUNT AND WAS FORCED TO START OVER AGAIN DOING FED AND STATE TO SAVE CORRECT PDF AND HAVE FORMS COMPLETED CORRECTLY.

What's great about it: Security right forms add and subtract, numbers are correct
What's not so great: if you miss a number , must start over from start
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Makes Doing Your Taxes Easy

Have been using TurboTax for over a Decade. Why use anything but the Best.
What's great about it: Simple and concise
What's not so great: Could use more help with the State tax portion

not very intuitive

Still haven't figured out how to print. Selected "print" and went to a "do loop" with no option to PRINT. I will probably figure it out but it could be so much more obvious.
I have used Turbo Tax for several years and will probably continue until we can elect the right people to enact a tax code that makes sense and clean house at the IRS.

What's not so great: had an error but no clue as to where to look to correct it.

To prove that Turbo Tax is getting max refund you should select several returns and have them recalculated by a tax accountant and publish the results.
BTY - family question - no kids at home
What's great about it: easy and quick to use
What's not so great: Am I getting max refund???

2013 tax

i never file my own income tax and i have to pay somebody to prepare it because i dont know how to do it. first time im using this and preparing my tax return, this software is easy to follow and you can check for explanations or additional information - to me this is very helpful for 1st time users.
What's great about it: very user friendly and make you at ease doing your work
What's not so great: some parts are misleading

Love to use this product. Has been using it for about 26 years. Look forward every year to have this job completed. Once it is done, I breathe a sigh of relief knowing everything will be alright.
