Taxes done easy

Happy with Turbo Tax once again. Have been using for 12 years. Only complaint I have is you can only do one state tax form on the Deluxe without having to pay for your state of residence because they suggest that you do the non-resident state first.
What's great about it: Fairly easy to understand instructions
What's not so great: A little confusing on the sale of a house section

Outstanding as Always

Since it saves data from previous years, I don't have to go through piles of paper to look up old information. It reminds me of carryovers from previous years and stops me if i try to skip them. Solid product that I have used for years and will continue.
What's great about it: It won't let you continue if there is an error
What's not so great: figuring out the error and how to correct it

I have used Turbo Tax since 1994 and it has gotten easier to use and does my returns in just hours. I recommend it.

Better although some good items left behind

At first the easier movement was welcome, although the statement button "update" is confusing -- updated from last year I guess, not "action is needed."
Comparison with last year okay when one starts the return. Later there is a problem when you are trying address needed review items and you think the solution may be inconsequential, one can't go back and see what with these people did I do last year, especially if their own information is sparser than last year's.
What's great about it: More streamlined, easily to change from step-by-step to a forms comparison
What's not so great: Comparison with last year's lacking at wrong moments

2013 taxes

for 2 years now I have downloaded brokerage data into TT and then filled out the TT prompts for tax preparation.
My IRA required distribution gets entered twice. This year it was easy to find and delete the erroneous entry.

hard to understand

some times its hard to know what its asking of you an at one time i was lost cause it told me i havent e file yet how i got there i dont know, cause all i was ask is to buy something, then it took me 40 mins to get back so i could e file. not sure i will use trubo tax again

Simple to redo - lost my 2012 tax do to computer

Easy to use. I have been using premium edition of turbo tax for over 10 years. Previous years there were many updates almost each time I logged in. No updates until today's filing.
What's great about it: Step by step approach - used easy guide
What's not so great: Updates were downloaded today
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
