Validation error

You really need to fix this error with Macs. At first it was telling me that Ct State wasn't done with files so I waited a week. After that I just kept getting the validation error. I have to file my return for financial aid application and i need my refund for a vacation in two weeks. This was a really disappointing experience since I've been using this for year. I can't believe you haven't created a patch to fix this and have it upload on your weekly updates.
What's great about it: easy to complete
What's not so great: Continued validation took me two extra weeks to complete

Not intuitive, awkward to use, ambiguous on information wanted. Not as easy to use as previous years.

Very nice package

It seems to get a bit better every year. I did notice a fair amount of spots where you could have brought over my last years data but did not.
I will certainly stay with Intuit for next year.
What's great about it: Fastest,smoothest,ever. Updates were quick.
What's not so great: Did not get enough comparisons, at all sections, with last years.

Simplified my return

TurboTax forgot to ask the right questions

I gave TurboTax a poor rating because it failed to ask me the correct questions and to properly allocate my state tax refund amounts. I was divorced in 2013 and my state tax refund should have been allocated between my return and that of my ex spouse. Unfortunately TurboTax did not ask me about my divorce even though I checked the divorced box. It allocated the whole state tax refund to my return which I then e-filed. Unfortunately that is not the correct way to do it, something I found out later while doing my ex spouse's return by calling the IRS. Now I have to file an amended return and that is not very easy to do in TurboTax. The refund should have been allocated between the two returns in the proportion to which each party paid. Turbotax overlooked this and, if I don't file an amended return, I will have paid more taxes than I should have by several hundreds of dollars.
What's great about it: Should be easy but wasn't
What's not so great: Forgot to ask me the necessary questions or provide guidance

Worked thru entire tax return, both fed and state, when I got to print I chose print and I got a page with 4 choices -- Print copy for records, save as PDF (which I did), Print preview, or cancel -- noe of these choices actually allowed me to print the returns. I am not happy. I'll try a different one next year.
What's not so great: would not print return to mail

2013 TurboTax Review

My family has used TurboTax for several years. However after this year I do not think we will use it again. After paying for the software to do our taxes I had to purchase internet service in order to use it. The forms were not included and I normally do not have internet service. This is frustrating because I do not like putting my computer or information on line. From now on I will find a different program to do my taxes where I do not have to put my personal computer or information in jepordy. Forcing people to go on line and purchase internet service just to use your product after paying for it is BAD BUSINESS! You have lost a very loyal customer.
What's not so great: Having to go on line to get forms after paying for software
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
