So easy to use

Turbo Tax is so easy to use. I particularly like the fact that it imports last years information into the new return.
What's great about it: Practically does everything for you

What's great about it: easy to use with walk through and then able to go back and pick up without going through whole procedure

Turbo Tax---GREAT

I have used Turbo Tax since I retired. No longer have to pay a CPA. I am almost computer illiterate but Turbo Tax is a user friendly program and all I have to do is answer the questions by filling in the blanks. Would recommend Turbo Tax Deluxe to anyone who can itemize.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: would like updates to load before starting return

I have used Turbo Tax for many years without any problems. One year I took my completed Turbo Tax return to a local CPA, as a second check. She couldn't find anything that I had missed, everything was fine. She told me that they use Turbotax in their office.
What's great about it: Quick and easy to use. Covers all the bases,
What's not so great: None.

I love the product and have been using it and its predecessor for over 10 years---maybe approaching 20?
Cons area up top too short so more complete listing here. Some of the screens are 3-4 pages of more long, requiring lots of scrolling on each page to his a button to move on. I would like a continue button at BOTH the top and bottom of the pages to allow for easier scrolling in these LONG pages.
What's great about it: easy to navigate, loads last years info, consistent year to year to make easy to use, predictable which is a god-send

Great -- but!

Such as preparation of our house to close and sell; my expenses associated with her passing; my relocation expenses that followed, etc
What's great about it: Easy to use, follow and file
What's not so great: My wife's passing did not allow me to enter data that was specifically tied to her death

Taxes by yourself

I like doing my taxes by myself using Turbo Tax. I have been doing it this way for years. I like that using TT always gets me the largest refund and if I have a question about whether I can deduct something, the question is easily answered. I know it can take some time to go though all the income and deduction sections, but seeing the refund add up as you go though each section helps out.
What's great about it: Detailed sections for income and deductions
What's not so great: Programs goes though all income and deductions even if they do not apply
Pros: I bought or sold investments
