I have used TurboTax for the past 8 or 9 years and have not had a problem filing - I do about 8 tax returns a year for my siblings, parents and my own, plus my childrens. It is so easy to do year to year. I switched one year to another tax program, loaded it - did not like it so I returned it and bought Turbo Tax
What's great about it: Easy to follow
What's not so great: None that I have had

So-so wish better support

I've been using TurboTax for many years. This year I had an excess 401k contribution and found it really hard to get help because their help file was incorrect. No help on their website. I also didn't like it that the file doesn't have a "Back" button so if you skip past something, you need to go through everything again. I ended up doing the filing multiple times because we kept stopping at the Amazon or other part, and then rethinking.
What's great about it: Downloads W-2 and 1099 on Fidelity
What's not so great: Help file wrong on Excess 401k, since it's a P only if filing next year, but if this year, and 8
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Overall, simply and easy to use, a few areas are frustrating and lack easier instructions.
What's great about it: basic is simple
What's not so great: certain areas not straight forward with answers.

Great Product

Turbo Tax is an excellent product. It is very thorough in covering all of the possible taxes and deductions available to you. When you have complete records, it is very simple and easy to use. Being able to obtain data from previous returns is an excellent feature. Also the Learn More links were very helpful in answering my questions. I have used Turbo Tax for several years. It has improved over the years and I have never been disappointed in it.
What's great about it: Quick and easy to use

Good for simple returns

Mostly good. Have been using TT now for about 10 years, and I think I do get my max refund each time. But some of the questions can be confusing if you don't understand what they are talking about
What's great about it: Basic stuff is straight forward
What's not so great: Some of the questions on complex stuff is confusing

Program is relatively quick and easy. However, there are some areas that are difficult to understand the question before answering.
The initial start of the program takes a long time to open. I always close the program when I am through for the day as a safety precaution.

I have been using Turbo Tax for quite a few years and love it. Lot cheaper than having it done by a professional sit down company
