Wow!

Been using Turbo Tax for years and have been extremely satisfied with the ease of entry, fast and accurate filing, and constant error check throughout the process.
What's great about it: So easy to follow...step by step...auto updates...
What's not so great: some areas were no clear, like in the Charity area...but workable
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Need better info on deduction limits

For 20 years I have wondered why you make people waste time gathering and entering their medical and job related expenses, etc. when in most cases they don't have a chance of exceeding the limit based on their income. Instead of asking "Did you have any medical expenses this year?" and then dragging the user through the process only to discover at the end they don't qualify, why don't you ask "Did you have medical expenses likely to add up to more than $xxxx.xx?" By this point the program already knows what the AGI is, and it is a computer program so I think it would be easy for it to multiply the AGI by 7.5% and help the user figure out ahead of time whether it is worth the trouble of digging up this information. The same goes for the other miscellaneous deductions subject to a limit. It is not sufficient to have a side note with the limit buried somewhere in the text that most people don't read anyway. Why surprise people at the end?
What's great about it: Automatic entry of previous year data -- It's Deductible
What's not so great: No help on deduction limits

Simple & Easy

1st time experience was simple and easy. However, I had to go back to state returns because it doesn't provide all applicable information

Turbo Tax seems to be easier and more user friendly every year. They exceed my expectations with current updates and changes required by the IRS. I'd strongly recommend this to anyone and I have.

I feel confident in the accuracy of my returns, my amount of tax being correct, and that no stones were left unturned.
What's great about it: Easy step-at-a-time process
What's not so great: Sometimes a bit tedious, but you have to get through all the questions.

Easy and Fast Filing

The complete package for this product should include free e-file for federal and one state. That said, I love using this product. Have used it for many years now.
What's great about it: Step by step instructions. They ask all the right questions.
What's not so great: E file for the state should be free also.

Great Product - Total Cost To Much

This program is much better than before, yet has some ways to go to be perfect, if that is possible. HOWEVER, changing it so much each year is not a good point thing. There should be some consistency and I would think a good marketing point "Dont relearn you software every year, Turbo Tax program keeps its steps in sink each year".
What's great about it: Better design than last year's program
What's not so great: Nickle and dime you in every step
