Easy to file
on March 12, 2014

I have used Turbo Tax for many years. Intuit designers make it easier to use every year except for the business section. My husband is a part-time independent contractor (athletic official) and is is more difficult to find the sections I need to fill out. Also there used to be a section to quickly look up any simple questions you may need answered. Now you have to submit a question to be answered. i would like to see the easy FAQ section back.
What's great about it: Ease of filing
What's not so great: questions answered
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Difficult Estimated Taxes
on March 12, 2014

When doing the estimated taxes it does not allow you to apply your current year refund (when enough exists) in a manner that can require no payment in April with equal payments the rest of the year. In fact going back to change the applied amount is nearly impossible. I eventually had to go to the 1040 form to get it to do what I needed once but that did not work well either. Why can you not make it so that you can go back to the applied amount anytime.
What's great about it: Review of Income and Deductions
What's not so great: Estimated taxes
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Entering Social Security records, amount received, is very difficult. One has to use exceptional methods to find the hidden form to fill out. The Social Security form should be listed just like all the other forms.
What's not so great: Entering Social Security records
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I would consider using turbotax again next year.
What's great about it: Input of figures from bank
What's not so great: Some of the instrucitons weren't clear enough for me.
