Last Years Turbo Tax Was Better

Considering we are not tax experts, which is why we are using a guided program like Turbo Tax, it would have been nice to maintain what we done in years past.
Before, the cover sheet of all the Turbo Tax or H&R block programs that I have used, always had a cover letter that said the next step is to print these forms, sign on these pages, send them along with these documents, and mail the return to these addresses.
This year did not have any of that information, just what to expect next and don't call us for when you will receive your refund, call the IRS, etc.
To me, that next step page was really important...
What's great about it: This year the process was fairly as easy as last year
What's not so great: Last year, when you print, there was a check list of docs, to send, not this year

As always - an awesome product that gets better every year. This year, however, I missed being able to directly compare my 2012 and 2013 SC state tax numbers. This is still there for federal, just was not on my state - I would love to see that come back.
What's great about it: Easier to use every year

I do forms first using last year's return as a guide. Then I use step by step to complete my return. I would like to have the ability to go back to forms while working step by step without loosing my place in continueing step by step. currently I have to search step by step to find where I left off.
What's great about it: Importing information from Fidelity
What's not so great: Unable to work both Step by Step and Forms at the same time.

Property Tax Question

I have two houses. Bought and sold one during year and HUD form showed I paid taxes on MAIN house I sold and replaced. Could not find answer to question WHERE that number was entered on form. Lots of talking about but NO definite answer. Feel like I lost a 2k deduction.
What's great about it: Lots of talking about.
What's not so great: No real answer!
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

Arm chair taxes

It handled all of my needs...W2's, 1099's (D,R, SSA, B, DIV), 1098's. It imported all of my information and data so I had minimal manual entries to make. I've been using Turbo Tax for many years and have always been satisfied with this product. I would give this 5 stars and highly recommend it to anyone who dreads going thru the tax preparation process.
What's great about it: Easy to use, taxes done at my leisure, fast refund

I've used Turbo-Tax for many years and each year it seems to get just a little bit better. Keep up the good work.
What's great about it: I like the hints given for assisting in doing return
What's not so great: It is hard to print specific forms or sections of the return
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Software Updates-TurboTax Deluxe

I have used the Deluxe software for at least 5 years. During startup the software my tell me there are updates and do I want to update or not. When I select update, if gives me this annoying message that "yes we know it's taking too long" but after the update is says it's opening up TurboTax Deluxe but it never does! I always have to reopen the software to utitlize it after the update. This has been going on for years and needs addressed now.
What's great about it: Always asks if you want to update
What's not so great: After software updating, it closes down TTax Deluxe
