Can't do without it

I always let the program walk me through every question. Sounds tedious, I know, but it found a couple of things this year that made a $500 difference in my return. Using the program from year to year pays off because you know what to expect in the way of their Q & A. Then, with the taxes laws changing all the time, it's only getting harder to try it yourself. With the state option it's even easier. You can do multiple states, it's just a matter of filing where you can only do a single state for the price of the program. And, I can do my kid's taxes too. It makes life a lot easier.
What's great about it: I'm a long term Turbo Tax user - I have a lot complexity in my returns and Turbo Tax has always helped me get a refund.
What's not so great: I had a hard time with this - not sure I ran into any'cons' this year!

filing is very easy. questions are right to the point, thank you. at the end the printing part needs to be fixed. it keeps pulling up the form list and only lets you create a pdf or preview how it would print, there is no print button. if you hit the print icon above it too goes to that form list. it's important to have a hard copy even if you file electronically... this is the only thing I see as needing improvement. thanks.

Fast Tax Filing

Overall very happy with the product. Have used Turbo Tax for a number of years. As time progresses situations change. It would be helpful for users needing only standard deduction to have that option rather than having to work through the program and then the program stating the standard deduction is the best way to go.
What's great about it: Retrieval of previous years info and nice flow through form.
What's not so great: When completing a section having to scroll down to next section.

Overall very accurate and comprehensive

Overall a very good, affordable product. It integrates the federal and state returns very well. However, I thought printing the state forms for filing after e-filing the federal return was somewhat awkward and hard to follow. Also, a good guide to foreign income tax percentages would be helpful but I know there are literally hundreds of foreign funds. Again, very good product and kudos to all the developers. I always tell me friends that Turbo-Tax is the only way to go- including my CPA friends!
What's great about it: Can deal with complex situations such as lots of long/short term capital gains using the new classifications (A<B<C<D)
What's not so great: Does not keep a running record of non-deductible traditional IRA contributions. This was a real problem for me.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Forms in good shape

Frankly, Since I use Turbo tax, I never had any problems loading information, change criteria and walking through the program. I am very happy with this tax tool.
What's great about it: reviewing every single detail
What's not so great: not much options for overrrite certains amounts
