Easy to Understand

Turbo Tax is an excellent tool for filing personal income tax returns. It takes the user step by step through income and expense categories while occassionally inserting friendly messages stating how the tax return is proceeding.
I plan on purchasing another copy for next year's return.

What's great about it: Step by Step procedure through tax return
What's not so great: Percentage completed missing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Example: Schedule A Form not Availble is not clear. Went through a few time before noticing that the form is not issued by the IRS

I have used TurboTax for several years and it never fails me. Gets right to the point and files your taxes.
What's great about it: Straight forward and responsive

Would not download last years data(2012)

Would not download last years information which was on my computer. I had to type in all personal information for me and my wife. I made an error on one digit on wife's social security number and had to re-E-file both FED & State

Always great when I do my taxes and my girlfriend and my taxes. Last year we got married and the program did ask if I got married last year, but didn't prompt me to transfer my new wife's info from previous years taxes. Looking forward to adding a dependent next year ;)

What's not so great: Doesn't combine 2 previous taxes at marriage

Like the way I can compare all elements of the previous year's tax return. Only took a few hours to do the complete Federal return.
What's great about it: Quick and easy
What's not so great: Can't undo automatic downloads from brokerage.
