Need easy way to report fellowship income

Figuring out how to report a postdoctoral fellowship (SCH $XXXX) is not intuitive.
I do not receive a W-2 or a 1099-MISC, and yet must report my entire fellowship as taxable. This should be much easier, and should not be done in the "deductions" section as it was in this version of turbo tax.

Best Path to Success for US!

We have been using Turbo Tax for several years and are loyal customers--we tried a competitor one year and came back quickly. TurboTax's step-by-step approach means we don't forget any opportunity for savings or miss an obligation that might cause problems later. We are confident our taxes are done correctly and our refund maximized. We use the tax projections of the year to come to MINIMIZE next year's refund--and keep our dollars in our pockets all year round!
What's great about it: Step-by-Step Instructions, Individual Questions based on answers as you go along.
What's not so great: It's TAXES! It can't all be good!

Some good, some the same old stuff

I've been using TurboTax for more than two decades. It seems like I have the same problems with it that I've always had: FIRST, it's cumbersome beyond belief to return to where you left off. This is using the interview method, of course. And when you go through all of the questions that have been answered before, you must re-enter the same stuff, again and again and again. God forbid you try to do this too fast in order to get to where you need to go. SECOND, the software is full of attempts to upgrade (unnecessary) or sell you various services (why?). I find that intrusive. THIRD, the additional cost for efiling a state return is nonsense. The only reason I've stayed with TurboTax is that I have a pretty extensive depreciation schedule. But, it's time to change.
I am an "Advanced" preparer for the IRS' VITA tax program and it's about time to switch to a less expensive and equally complex program, FOR FREE.
Don't bother with the expensive versions of this software. I have an extremely complex return with two apartment buildings and the "deluxe" version does it all. Save your money.
What's great about it: Interface is clean and easy to follow
What's not so great: Makes you go through too much to return to where you left off

I highly recommend Turbo Tax Deluxe. I have done taxes with various programs for lots of years, and this has to be the easiest of the bunch. Try it!! You'll like it!!
What's great about it: Ease of Use, ease of data entry, ease of review -- easy!!
What's not so great: I still worry about dealing with the feds. This helps!
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

Great Product

I have used Turbo Tax to prepare my returns for at least the past 8 years and it truly is a great product. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to do their own taxes.
What's great about it: Walks you through the entire refund and then reviews for accuracy.
What's not so great: None that I can think of.
