Done with Tax!

If you can read and follow instructions, it's the best and easiest way to do it and it doesn't take long. I've been using it for the last 4 years and I never had any problem.
What's great about it: Easy to follow and it guides you every step of the way. It helps you find ways to get the refunds you need.

2014 Thoughts

When doing the final check on Federal it said I had 12 errors to go through. I started to go through them and it asked for information on Property 4, 5 and 6. Had no idea what property 4, 5 and 6 meant. When I went back and tried again, there was no message of any errors.
What's great about it: Easy to use for the most part
What's not so great: Some concerns with "errors"

It's an easy walk through with all questions answered if necessary. Not sure why a person would not use TT

I used to think our return was too complicated. I've been using turbo tax for a few years now and am amazed at how easy it is.
Two points of confusion to look out for:
1) Investment advisor fees were not automatically populated. Seems that that could be done.
2) I put in my Lincoln MKZ Hybrid info for a tax credit and it allowed me to do it even tho it doesn't qualify. I subsequently removed it. Seems like there should be an edit since there are a specific set of cars that qualify.

What's great about it: Tax filing has never been so easy.
What's not so great: The only con is that we have to file income tax returns! This software is outstanding.

Love Turbo Tax

In processing a 1099-B, I had a problem with the calculation of the Cost Basis for the Stock, which had been sold. The program did not accurately calculate the value as it could not reference the original stock that the sale originated from.
What's great about it: Easy to use
