Tax Return

As always, Turbo Tax is great for my non-complicated return. Most people don't pay estimated taxes and the software should ask if the user wants vouchers printed.
What's great about it: Simple, User Friendly
What's not so great: Need to limit forms for personal copy printing. No vouchers, no additional federal return to attach to state return.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Nothing Faster

The listing of possible deductions made me realize that I need to save all my receipts for medical, charitable, and sales tax deductions for this year--just to see if I have enough to claim next year!

turbo tax quicker this year

overall very pleased with turbo tax and I am continuing to refer my friends and family for their tax preparation
What's great about it: was finally able to add my info from last year quickly due to employer control number in database.
What's not so great: wasn't sure about new education tax law in regards to hope credit

So Easy to Do

I have done our incomes taxes for over 40 yrs myself by hand. I finally tried Turbo Tax a couple of years ago and I love it! I will never go back to doing by hand again! Thanks, Turbo Tax!

2013 Version Went Downhill

Data entry and tax calculation similar to previous versions...no complaints. However, it took several attempts to finally send my return by E-filing option, which is one of the prime reasons I purchased TurboTax! I received a message that "transmission failed" and I had to download the most recent update. Several upgrade attempts resulted in "you have the most recent version available". I printed out the return in frustration and was prepared to file by USPS, but made one last attempt and E-filing went through (supposedly). SUMMARY: I was disappointed with the experience compared to previous versions and will reconsider which tax preparation software I will purchase next year. PS: the nickname requirement to post a review is an unecessary pain also!
What's great about it: Same as previous years which I used (2008-12).
What's not so great: E-filing buggier.
