TurboTax - Easy Peace of Mind!

I've been using TurboTax more than 10 years. For a few years, I filed via the old paper method. TurboTax is much better & makes the annual drudgery of filing taxes a little more pleasant.

Quick and Painless

The deluxe edition was fine for completing my return with both employment and self-employment incomes. It handled investment income including interest and dividends. It also handled deductions in a very easy manner. I found myself a little unsure of what to do with the foreign tax that was paid as part of a mutual fund where I was not sure of what countries received the foreign tax. The software seemed to handle it OK so I moved on. If I had a complicated self-employment income ( a bigger business), I may have been better to move up to the next level of TurboTax. The Missouri state tax form was completely painless. Completed it in less that fifteen minutes. U.S. and state combined took about two hours.
What's great about it: Very easy and orderly progress with the easy guide
What's not so great: No way other than the tax refund value to know an entry has been entered and properly included in calculations

Oh So Easy

Have been using Turbo Tax for the last 5 years and its like having someone sit next to you and walk you through each step. If you can read you can do your own taxes stress free

This is every bit as thorough, less expensive and perhaps quicker than having my taxes professionally prepared. I really wonder if they are secretly just using turbo tax to prepare my taxes!

Amazing Tool! So Simple

Turbo Tax is great at looking at all areas where you may qualify for a credit or deduction. Hands down, the best tool. The tool is very intuitive. You do not have to have a financial or tax acumen to use this tool. The Explain This options along the way are so helpful and a real time saver.
What's great about it: Easy to use and maximizes your refund.

Good Job

Turbo Tax 2013 was great --- liked it. But, some of the Tax Forms I received from banks did not match up with tax filing requirements. However, that was not the fault of Turbo Tax. Turbo Tax got me through the filing process.

First-time user, highly impressed!

We have used a tax preparer for complex returns in the past just to catch all the nuances. The returns were looking simpler this year, so I decided to give TurboTax a try. As I went through the program, I found it asked for precisely the same items and level of detail that my preparer had done - if not more! I couldn't be more pleased with the security of knowing I received the maximum return and peace of mind that everything is properly itemized for our records and easy retrieval. Excellent program, and at only a fraction of the cost. Couldn't be happier!

Easy Peasy

I just sat down with all of may tax info and it took me less than an hour to go through the taxes and complete both my state and federal returns. I feel that Turbo Tax helps me catch little details that I would never find if I did my taxes myself the old fashioned way!
What's great about it: Very short time to complete taxes
What's not so great: A lttle unsure I did it correctly
