Good Except....

When doing our taxes it was very helpful and easy to navigate. When it came time to do updates so we could do state taxes it refused to update. Just sat there saying it was doing an update for 6 hours straight at one point without actually updating! Very irritating. Could have been done with my tax return days ago rather than sitting here trying to figure out what was wrong and calming down because of the frustration! But in the end it did updates and filed my return as normal.
What's great about it: Very easy to navigate
What's not so great: Wouldn't do the update for 12 hours!!!

I've used Turbo Tax for many, many years. It has worked well for me every time. It's a well written software. I give it a thumbs up.
What's great about it: User friendly. Very easy to use.
What's not so great: Didn't find any.

On portions where I spend several minutes to complete information then receive message that I do not qualify for the deduction, an explanation as to why would be informative.

The program told me that because I had a IRA plan at work I couldn't take the full $6,500 as a credit. I am over 55 and I spoke with my financial advisor (Fidelity) and they told me that I could. I over rode the amount that Turbo Tax put there and I expected it to tell me something was wrong when it did the audit but it told me no errors. Also one minor issue the Update and the Edit functions seemed to be used inconsistent in the Federal and the State. For instance Update/Edit was used in the Deductions and Credits to change the name of the Mortgage Lender and to the Update to change the amounts for the deductions where the edit was used to actually go into the State Tax portion of Turbo tax. It was rather confusing and I missed doing the State Tax portion the first time around and manually had to fix it before I realized I had missed the State portion all together. Once I did go through it everything was okay.
What's great about it: Very easy to use
What's not so great: Issue with IRA contribution for over 55

We were very pleased at the way we could check our every entry. You make it easy to do the dreaded taxes. We have used Turbo Tax for the last few years and are very pleased with great service.

Quick, Easy and Thorough

I gathered all my tax receipts and imported the data from last year in a few minutes my taxes both federal and state were completed.
What's great about it: The interview process is great!
What's not so great: None!!
