great tools!

I've been using turbo tax for many years now and I wouldn't use any other filing software.....ever! It's the easiest and most thorough software around. I recommend it to anyone who'll listen.
What's great about it: makes filing a breeze

This is the fourth consecutive year I have used Turbo Tax, and I am completely satisfied with it. The software is very user friendly, and the "Help" options, as well as FAQ areas in nearly every part of the process, are valuable references. Turbo Tax significantly streamlines a dreaded annual task!
What's great about it: ease of navigating software
What's not so great: had to update before transmitting

Another year of no tears taxes!

This program continues to help me to deal with my taxes without making me feel like I need to be a CPA. I like the fact that I can view my info from last year and remember what I have done in the past.
What's great about it: Step by step chioces, reminders of what I might have missed, updated via internet.
What's not so great: The program didn't sing encouraging song snippets! : )

As good as it gets. . .

Occasionally, I run into a wall but that's usually due to IRS changes. TurboTax responds very well to the changes and translates the abstruse language of bureaucrats into generally understood terms.
The program is also something like an online seminar on tax policy. I would be thrilled if there were a flat tax but since the government wants to strangle us with a web of patchwork tax laws, TurboTax gives the little guy a shot at independence and understanding tax gobbledygook,.
Well worth the money. As good as it gets, as I said earlier.
What's great about it: Been using it for years and it works -- few glitches
What's not so great: It puts accountants out of business. .
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Overall great product - delivers what is promised. Only negative is I live in Florida with no state income tax, yet the program must have asked me 4-5 times about filing state tax. The program knows my state residence and no state income tax in Florida so why keep presenting the options to file state income tax??
What's great about it: Ease of use. Guided tour = taxes for dummies
What's not so great: Need lower price for download versions
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I clicked on file by mail and the program proceeded to the 5 digit pin for efiling and would not proceed any other way. Unacceptable!
