Made (tax return) life much easier!

TurboTax just works! It's difficult to mess tax return filing up as long as you don't mess up the questions. The hardest part is being patient and waiting for the various tax i formation statements to arrive.
What's great about it: Asks tax form questions in plainer English than the forms and booklets.
What's not so great: No real cons in my opinion.

Changes to Program

The changes made are such that it is harder to use Turbo Tax this year. The standard deduction was recommended for me but when I printed the tax forms to mail, it included the Schedule A for my California Taxes and not for my Federal Taxes. This is the first time and no explanation is given by Turbo Tax for this change. Also, no questions were asked on the California taxes which would allow me to provide for estimated taxes since none are withdrawn from my pension. Don't like what you have done to the program.
What's great about it: Not so many updates required.
What's not so great: Estimated vouchers were not printed out for my California taxes even though I pay estimated taxes every year.

state return could be way better

The return was great.
The one problem was the lack of reachback within turbo tax.
I have done my taxes with Turbo Tax for 4 years now.. on the same computer, with the same state.
Some of the questions about my state return had to be looked up on the return Turbo Tax did for me.
If it has the previous returns, it should be able to answer those questions itself.

What's great about it: remembered all my previous tax year information for federal returns
What's not so great: I had to look up state return info to answer questions

Better the 2nd year

I found the process a lot easier this time through. Granted, it was my 2nd time using Turbo Tax, but the experience was definitely easier than last year. The questions were simple, to the point and the answers I provided were displayed so as to reflect where they fit in the overall filing process. I always had situation awareness as I moved from one step to the next.

I was able to file my Federal and three state returns with no problem. Turbo Tax walked me through each step so I could complete this in one morning. Great product!
