Avoiding the TAX Jitters

I really feel confident t every year I use TurboTax. I have been using it for at least ten years. Sometimes doing taxes, even in the best of circumstances is nerve wracking, but Turbo Tax makes this as painless as possible. I have very complex reporting of interest and dividends and I appreciate how TubroTax can transfer pages of numbers from Fidelity INvestments 1099s, etc into TurboTax.
What's great about it: Its the easiest and least nervous way to prepare taxes

I have been using TurboTax for years now and enjoy using it.
I have tried other Tax Programs and they can not stand out like TurboTax.

We shouldn't have to pay twice for federal. We buy the disc and then we pay again at the end for the fee. I will look into another option next year if I have to pay twice.

Filing is so easy

Makes tax filing very simple. Especially with the K-1 partnership we have and able to download the information and not worrying that everything is filled out properly.
What's great about it: Easy to understand and download a lot of the information and it is carried over year to year.
What's not so great: None I can think of. It has worked fine every time I have used it.

Filing and experience

My experience was a pleasant one. As with most of us, we don't like expending the time to do our taxes. It appears that this year my time filing was fast, compared to the past. It probably would have been even faster, if I had all of my documents with me when I started. Lesson's learned! Good job Turbo Tax

very cumbersome for experienced users

I help several friends by filing their returns for them. They give me list of charities with small donations, all of which are tax deductible and I usually enter a total on the schedule A and use the override feature to do same. When I try to file electronically, I was not allowed to do with the over-ride. We all know that IRS requires the extended info that you have incorporated into your program so we know to keep that info with our papers in case we are audited. This likelihood is so slim but still a possibility. I am willing to take the chance that if audited I can substantiate my charity deductions with the required paperwork rather than spend 30 minutes or more trying to get all of that info now to avoid using an override.
What's great about it: can make changes easily
What's not so great: too time consuming to enter 50 charities with dates, names, etc when one entry would suffice
