Great with Federal, little glitch in VA state LTC

Turbo tax did correctly process the deduction for Long Term Care premiums paid on VA state refund, but the Error Check program flagged a missing entry in the Tax Credit section however TT never asked for that information, and also didn't go back and retrieve that from prior state returns. After a lot of research on my own through the VA tax website, I was able to manually determine the correct entries, no thanks to Turbo Tax. Other reviewers also note that this has been an on-going BUG in TT software that they seem to be unable to fix.
What's great about it: Easy to use, generally good tutorials and instruction
What's not so great: Continuing error in VA state in the Long Term Care credit/deduction section

Easy to use

Would like to see more explanation of Form # when a stated error has occurred. Had not seen the Form # before and wasn't on any of my paperwork.
What's great about it: If you can read & write and following directions, this is for you
What's not so great: Would like more explantion of Form #'s when it says we need to review.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

It's easy to follow and choose in each category what you need to work on. The state program (MN) was much easier this year. It took me a few minutes to realize our refund was already calculated and I was just into it. Very nice!

I like the step by step guidance entering information into the return. I have to do estimated taxes and that is where I had the most trouble. For federal estimated taxes you need to have additional separate entry boxes to define what "other deductible taxes" are such as state and local taxes, personal property taxes, etc. Under "Other Income" you need to have separate entries for 1099R's, state tax refund, interest income, etc.
For VA state estimated taxes you need another box for additional deductions (for example LTC insurance premiums are deductible).

Even though I have to use the standard deduction now, the ease of downloading w-2's and personal info from previous returns speeds up the filing process. I have a lot of confidence in this product and company.
What's great about it: step by step progression, uses prior year's info to eliminate manual entry
What's not so great: could explain fund & stock sales info better
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Your box 12 suffix for 1099R when documenting excess ROTH IRA Distribution is JP. The P is for 2012 distribution and later you indicate 100R is for 2014. Why not just make a suffix code for 2013 excess distribution and done...one stop shopping!
