Only one problem

I downloaded tax information from an institution, and everything seemingly went well. However, during the final review, one problem came up. A form 1099 OID did not get taken care of with the download. I called my financial institution, and they showed me where the required information was so that I could fill out the form myself (in TurboTax). I don't know if the problem was with my financial institution or with TurboTax.
Other than that, TurboTax was great.
What's great about it: walked me through everything
What's not so great: Not sure if the problem I had was TurboTax or my financial institution

I found it easier to move around and back up when I needed to add an item or change an item. I also liked how it was easier to decide what parts I wanted to print.

Easy as a short form

Waiting for all the tax documentation to arrive in the mail was the worst part of this year's tax preparation. After it was all in my possession I procrastinated several weeks because, in the past, I just hated going through all the questions and trying to understand what was being asked of me. This year I was done in about an hour or so and I'm not walking away asking myself "Did I answer all the questions accurately?" It's peaceful!

What's great about it: All of last year's filing was there and I just added this year's numbers. Quick!
What's not so great: Can't think of any cons except that I procrastinated doing my taxes.

Turbo Tax is extremely efficient. The first year it seems tedious yet BAM the second year is slam the door FAST!

Business/Trust Version - a Royal Pain!!!

Love your Personal Tax programs, and the Business version (we have a Family Trust with K-1s). for 2013, the 1099 reporting purchases and sales totaled over 80 pages!!!! I had to enter every transaction - hours and hours of needless toil!!!!
Surely this is a "flaw" that many others have pointed out to you.

What's not so great: But....not being able to download from Financial Institutions!!!!!

Thank goodness for TurboTax

TurboTax brings my family together each year for a real family reunion. I get TurboTax & the various state versions that different family members need & then we all do our taxes here. TurboTax turns an awful chore into an enjoyable family weekend.
What's great about it: TurboTax made it possible for me to handle my mother's move from one state to another.
What's not so great: TurboTax is terrible at handling Misc1099 for Pensions.

I really enjoy using this program. It is very easy to use, accurate, and relaxing, It ensures that you do not miss any important items and ensures that you will pay the minimun tax required to allow you maximum return. I will always continue to use TurboTax
What's great about it: Very easy to use and it does all checking for accuracy
What's not so great: Need to include more than just one State filling

The handling of HSA's needs to be improved form 1099-SA
My son has an HSA that covers both he and his wife. Turbo tax seems to think that both he and his wife has an HSA account. This maybe some confusion on my part on what Turbo Tax is expecting. There should be some clarification that this is a JOINT account or It is one spouses account that covers both husband and wife.
What's great about it: Excellent Software which is improved every year that I have used it which is about 15
What's not so great: Some of the FONT is to small and the WHITE FONT is hard to see
