TurboTax Deluxe 2013

I would recommend Turbo tax to any one. I have very limited knowledge of tax preparation. This programs assists you through the entire process. Even if you don't know the tax laws. TurboTax will walk you through every detail necessary to file.
What's great about it: Walks you through step by step and calculates for you

Turbo Tax Rocks

Turbo Tax is very easy to use. They do the bookkeeping, and fill out the forms correctly. You must have last years Federal Security Number or know the exact amount of last years wages to file. Be sure that you have one of these numbers before you begin. The whole process is simple if you have all of the figures that you will need in front of you. I will use Turbo Tax again next year, just as I did last year. It is as close to painless as you can get.
What's great about it: 1. Very Through. 2. Easy to use. 3. Double checks all info.
What's not so great: 1. Don't tell you up front that you need the federal security number from last years filing.

Maxxed my refund

I forgot to include the amount that i paid for rent in my state return. I had to figure out on my own how to edit my state return.
What's great about it: i genuinely feel that i have been to get the maximum refund

I have used Turbo Tax for over 10 + yrs. Very easy to use and walks you right through all the deductions.
Turbo Tax needs to check for updates at the beginning when you launch the software.

Great every year

TurboTax has been a great help in all the years I have used it! You just gather your info, put the CD in and follow the easy to understand instructions. You don't need any training or a bookkeeping background.
What's great about it: Short, concise, but detailed

Biggest Refund Ever

Great step-by-step procedure to cover all the bases. Could have used a "Continue to the Next Section" button at the top, as well as the bottom, of the page
What's great about it: Found more deductions and updated software prior to finalizing
What's not so great: Could not edit the name of some entries

Generally easy to use and navigate

I've used TurboTax for many years. Some years I've had relatively complicated tax issues; other years very simple and straight-forward. You DO have to pay attention to the questions on the interview and clearly understand what the question is asking. Have all your tax information ready to go, (e.g., W-2s, 1098s, 1099s, expense records IN WRITING, any income statements prepared by anyone, etc.) and the process will be almost enjoyable to complete and eFile your return.
What's great about it: Very concise "interview" for completing taxes
What's not so great: Occasionally gets confusing

tax prep like a pro !!!!!!!!

I enjoyed the whole experience. All the questions were easy to understand and because of the checklist I had all the data collected ahead of time. I suggest you expand the checklist and make it part of the total program. The checklist will help new first time subscribers be prepared.
