very disappointed

I have been a turbo tax user for well over a decade, but I am not pleased at all with this year's software. I was really disappointed when turbo tax deluxe could not/would not locate and download my prior year tax returns. All were easily located on my computer - in fact, this year's files are saved in the SAME folder location! The electronic e-filing was also several steps longer than last year as we needed to redo pin information and reconnect to IRS website, etc., etc. It was simply not the tax preparing experience I expected from Turbo tax this year.
What's great about it: I did like the usual questions and simple walk-thru of info
What's not so great: deluxe did not download last year's info and everything had to be done "new"
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I selected the step by step method, but the program did not ask about several things, which I had to manually hunt for and fill out. I have used Turbo Tax for years, and fill out 3 returns every year - my own and other family members.
What's great about it: Pretty easy to use
What's not so great: It created a K-1 form, and I could not get rid of it. Had to go to forms and delete it manually.

Easy and Fast!

I've used TurboTax the last two years and found it to be easy to follow and faster than going to a CPA

I use Turbotax for minimum 10 years, it improved every year.
I either use Quicken for input of some data, such as charitable donations, property taxes, et.c,

Saves me MONEY

I use to have someone else prepare my taxes and all they wanted do to was hurry up and get paid and did not want to take time and help me get a bigger refund. Since I started doing them myself I know that all of my information is getting entered. I also know that in the past 8 years that I've been using Turbo Tax that I have not had any issues unlike in the past. Fast easy and simple.
What's great about it: You don't have to take a chance on someone else missing you money.
What's not so great: I haven't found a con yet.

Turbo Easy

I have used Turbo tax now for about the last 5 years and I love it. It will always remind you of credits that you are eligible for if you forgot to mark them.. I like the way it " Check the Checker"

Great Product - One Suggestion

Wonderfull product that I have been using for many years. My kids now use it to do their taxes. One frustrating thing that I notice is that after each category when I am returned to the income or deductions page I must scroll down past all of the just completed items to get to the button that says next topic. It would really be nice if those main pages were set up such that selecting the next topic was easy (no scrolling required).
Also, I notice that sometimes when editing, for example charitable donations, it is not easy to change certain things--like the name of the charity--without deleting the entire entry and re-entering it.
Neither of these are real "show-stoppers" but just a couple of simple things that would make it just that much easier for the user.
What's great about it: Like the way it walks me through each section and allows me to flag and return
What's not so great: Not always the smartest about edits and scrolling
