Not as pleased as previous years

Wouldn't transmit the e file and kept saying to check updates. I did repeatedly, none were needed. Couldn't find a phone number to call easily for help. Finally in total desperation, found a similar comment from a turbotax pro. did what she said and it went thru, but was not pleased. having been the victim of tax fraud just two years ago this was very unsettling. Need to fix it. Saw lots of similar complaints.
What's great about it: walks you thru everything step by step
What's not so great: wouldn't transmit, kept saying to check updates, none were needed.

I always use Turbo Tax, inexpensive and I know my numbers are correct because I input my own data.

More informative than a professional

Going to a professional did not give me the insight to the threshold required to benefit from certain deductions. I was recording items that did not have an impact. Turbo tax helped me focus on deductions that are likely to affect me.
What's great about it: Helped me understand the futility of certain deductions

state filing fees not refunded when return rejecte

When i went to file my return it asked me to put spouse and myself in the same order as last year. my husband passed away last year and he was always first in our return. when i went to file online they were rejected because the social security department said his social security number was locked since he was deceased. since it was rejected why couldn't i get a refund of my state filing fees
What's not so great: cannot get filing fees back after rejection

Great Product

I've use Turbo Tax for several years now and have always had great results. Very pleased and have told other of this product to use in compiling their taxes. Turbo Tax walks you through the process without any hitches!
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is concise, easy to follow and quick results

Easy to Use

While easy to use and far less stressful than dealing with an accountant, the program can be a bear if I make a mistake farther into the process and does not always allow a person to back up then return where they were before backing up (skips ahead of crucial portions).
What's great about it: Easy to Use; makes the process far less painful
What's not so great: Some issues with going back, and a real pain if you make a mistake

2013 Review of Tax Software

Will use again but do not ask me to signup for Advantage which is more expensive. No choice was given to just renew for next year with the deluxe version.
What's great about it: Fast, quick, and easy to navigate
What's not so great: Constant back to the start with the question on how I want to enter info; should be once answered, it should not be rptd

I love how TT automatically saves the entire tax file doc in a pdf. It is a small, easy to read, common type of file and can be saved anywhere. Thx
What's great about it: How T.T. uses last year's info and imports it, how easy and clean.
