A Bit Disaapointed

After inputting all of our separate data for Federal single so we can each file for AZ, all of the data had to be reentered for one of us to complete the Federal MFJ. And I got an error that would not let me efile, so i'm still working on this. There was no AZ Sch S and there will be no easy way to carry over our information for next year for Fed. I'd like to be able to import one return into another, and I hope this will be a priority fix for the future as the number of states requiring SSMC to file MFJ or MFS is 50! Better still would be all 50 states recognizing SSMC, but that is beyond TurboTax!
What's great about it: I still have confidence in the turbo tax program to compute my taxes correctly. I have been a TT (Mac) user since 2005
What's not so great: Disappointed software did not handle the SSMC returns better.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

TurboTax takes an anxiety-producing, unpleasant necessity and makes it almost fun. I just answered, "Yes," or, "No," then clicked the recommended boxes and filled in the amounts. When I accidentally skipped something, it was flagged for me. No complaints!
What's great about it: We love the easily understood, specifically worded instructions, and that last year's info can be imported.
What's not so great: No cons, actually

I like turbo tax, have been using it for more than 10 years, but it never finds my previous years taxes. There all saved in the applications folder on my Mac along with the turbo tax application. That is my only complaint.
What's great about it: Fast and Easy
What's not so great: It never finds my previous years taxes, even though there all in the same folder.
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

Another year, another EZ filing!

i have used the software for many, many years and have had only two in which the software was not capable. It got complicated!
What's great about it: Pretty good walk through of most tax situations.
What's not so great: Could just start with a review of previous filings with updates for the current tax year.

Still minor issues with state return

The program does not make it easy to efile federal return and paper file state return. It took me a few minutes to figure out a route through the Filing sequence to get my paper copy of the state return.
What's great about it: most everything

Made doing my own taxes fairly easy

A good product as long as you can gather and enter your financial records without too much effort.
Love that I can use It's Deductible all year and import into my tax return. Makes that a lot easier.

What's great about it: Appreciate the online help for common questions -pretty much easy to navigate
What's not so great: some areas are still not explained will enough for my comfort level
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

The easiest way to prepare and file you taxes!

This is my first time using TurboTax software and I love it. This is by far the easiest way to prepare and file your taxes. I used it to file my federal and NY State returns in 1 hour. :-)
What's great about it: Reliable, Quick, Accurate, Simple

Mine was a fairly easy filing. It was very easy to use. each instruction was very clear which made the whole experience easy.
