Sooooo! simple to use

Since I am not an accountant I can not find a thing to change or improve. My returns have been very simple since my wife and I have retired. Thanks again.
What's great about it: everything was great
What's not so great: can't find any cons
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

1) several issues:
federal... il state return did not pick up on property tax credit properly... had to do that manually when I found it missing.
2) state: there is no state AGI.. as listed on the forms .. though did say line 1.
3) state e-signature block... asked if spouse filed a return... should have had an option for filed jointly.... this was misleading.

What's great about it: 1) good to be able to "toggle" between "step by step" and forms.... since if confusion with "step by step" can go to for
What's not so great: would like to directly access work sheets from an index as I go along... to see what is happening.

Love this program

Great to work with from year to year. I bought last years program online and then had to get new hard drive, lost program and was not sure how to get program back so I had to input all my info but love it when I can just import last years taxes.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Tells you that you have to file Kansas taxes in same method as federal. You don't I talked to kansas dept. of rev.

Easy and Fast

The process is easy and fast, program is very user friendly. Did have a little problem validating the e-file, but work after reopen the program. Overall, a very good product. I will definitely use this again. Thanks, Turbo Tax.

Works Easy

It took multiple attempts to e-file my return. It kept stating that I had to check for updates. No updates were available. I had to restart my machine to e-file. Not a big deal, but just a little bit of a hassle.
What's great about it: step by step easy process with nice explanations
What's not so great: multiple attempts to e-fil

Problems With E-File on Mac

I have used TurboTax for years and love it. This year there is a bug that gives you a "Validation Failed" message when you attempt to E-File. Even after following instructions to update TurboTax, the validation failed message persists. The fix is a complete reinstall and update of TurboTax followed by emptying trash. I looked everywhere for a live customer service rep to talk to and wasted hours getting the program to work. TurboTax knows they have a problem. Fix it or at least add the above fix notes to your 'Validation Failed" message.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Difficult finding live support
Pros: I bought or sold investments
