Frees me from CPAs

I have been a true believer and customer of this product for many years. I have been able to use the step-by-step procedures and help with great success. I like being able to go to the forms view when I get late tax documents. I also like being able to get help when needed for questions. I have yet to require the assistance of any professional/CPA. Thank you again for this great product.

May be my last year using TurboTax

Received $6500 in honoraria, had a LOT of difficulty reporting this income on the right line. Is it business income? Am I self-employes, or is it miscellaneous income. Got caught in and endless loop at one point trying to report misc. income. Tried reporting it as business income and at one point got stuck in the home office, use of car, etc which was not worth going thru. Went to e-file as I needed my refund quickly but e-filing was not accepted even tho I went thru the TurboTax review and checking process several times. A major headache this year.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate, very straight forward for simple returns
What's not so great: Had difficulty this year handling income received on 1099MISC

As always, TURBOTAX turns out to be easy to use. The Tax system is a maze and I can use all the help I can get. The only problem I have at this point in my life (I stopped itemizing) is the importation of data. That is a problem by itself with FIRST COMMAND FINANCIAL. I discovered that TURBOTAX will let me import the same data twice without warning. This is something to guard against.
What's great about it: EASY TO USE
What's not so great: ALLOWS YOU TO IMPORT SAME INFO MORE THAN ONCE

TurboTax makes it easy to file your taxes. Saves you a lot of time by only asking the relevant questions needed to file.

Great Product

I have used the product fore many years. It improved as it went along - so much so that my early computer did not have enough memory to download.
I like the thoroughness in entering all sources of income and deductions, and automatic filling out of necessary adjunct forms.
In the end, I have great confidence in the result including the probability (or not) of audit.
What's great about it: Easily led through; confident of results
What's not so great: Purchase of State filing not clear until completed
Pros: I bought or sold investments
