TurboTax is a good standard for tax preparation by the do it yourself tax filer. In expensive compared to a pro's service and can be used to spread out the effort for convenience
What's great about it: Excellent guide through prep
What's not so great: Awkward charitable entry

Painless Process

Tax time is never fun, but with Turbo Tax it can be painless. Even when we have new tax situations from one year to the next, Turbo Tax steps me through each area so that I don't need to worry about leaving something out. If I have questions, the help topics are very good at getting me the answers I need. I have used turbo tax for years now, and I would highly recommend it.

Mostly uncomplicated Refund!!

Overall pretty easy to use except when it came to filing. I tried several times to e-file. It wouldn't except it saying there was an update I needed yet every time I tried to update it stated there wasn't one. I finally had to close everything out and reboot the computer. That seemed to fix it. Kind of a pain.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Wouldn't e-file.

This is my second year of Turbo Tax, was so easy last year it was a no brainer. No point of spending my refund to a accountant for something this easy that I can do myself.
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions like falling off a rock
What's not so great: Nada

Would have been a five star except I hate to have to scroll down (while using Navigator) to find the continue button.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: I dislike having to scroll down after completing a few sections

Has been the way our family has dealt with taxes for a number of years and covers several situations.
What's great about it: Great detail. Covers all the steps. Is adaptable to changes in my financial situation.
What's not so great: Donations guide needs some more items/flexibility. Couldn't get some things entered.

I have used TurboTax for years and have always found it easy. I use it for Federal and State. For my family and friends who do their own taxes this is the program we all use.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Guides you step by step
What's not so great: none
