estimated taxes

tried to eliminated estimated tax that i did not pay and it would not do it on the state tax

Efficient and comprehensive

I like the fact that Ican plan to spend as much or as little time on my taxes each day. When the weather is bad or I feel like going back to preparing my taxes I open up the tax return exactly where i left off and start working again with out trying to figure where i was and what i missed. The automatic review and detail left me feeling confortable in that everything was covered and accurate. The electronic e-mail is wonderful especially for some one that doesn't have great computer skills
What's great about it: Easy to work with. I can do sa much as I want each day and pick up later exactly where I left off
What's not so great: Something about the 1099 form I don't understand and can't get help

Turbo Tax

Very easy to do it yourself even it's your first time user. Very friendly user interface, and very clear instructions and if you make a mistake it's very easy to correct without an effort. From filing tax form, efiling, sending form, it's very straight forward. All you have to do is to follow the instructions on screen and fill out information asked. When submit all you have to do is to check your email to see if it is accepted or not and follow instructions in your email to correct it. TurboTax is the best. Recommend other to use.
What's great about it: Very clear and easy instructions. Very consistent, no confusions. Great

taxes made easy

I have been using TurboTax for over 10 years and I find it straight forward to use. Over the years, depending on my tax situation, I have used all of the various TT packages. TT makes a complex and frustrating process fairly painless.
What's great about it: easy and mostly painless
What's not so great: fixing errors can be confusing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax Almost Perfect

Last year there was a big delay while TurboTax resolved e-filing problem for iMac. This year, a similar problem. I had to shut down & restart in order for e-filing to work. Otherwise a great program.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Filing Glitch with Mac

Transferring from Quicken

I've been using TurboTax for 25 years. One year I used a competitor's product. It just didn't measure up to TurboTax. Overall the program is excellent. I wish there were better instructions for transferring data from Quicken. When using the interview method, I sometimes find that I am entering data that could have been transferred.
What's not so great: Instructions for transferring data from Quicken are less than satisfactory.

The updates this year seemed pretty extensive for our return. All information transfered from last year which saved time. I didn't feel lost once. We like the audit defense option. I'm not a cpa or office type so simple works best for me. It was.
What's great about it: auto info transfer
What's not so great: i 'm still scared of an audit even though we go with audit defense
