Tough but Easy

This year made filing easy, even for the tough to understand tax laws. The toughest tax laws are published by the various states, not federal. Since I earn income in a state other than my resident state, I was required to pay for the second state download, as well as double paying the state filing fees. Then, to add insult to injury, when I provided my credit card information, the total amount included a state tax on top of it.
What's great about it: Walked through all of the tough tax situations
What's not so great: State(s) e-file price, and then taxed on top of it.

I have used turbotax for the past 10 or more years. TurboTax makes doing taxes easy and it's easy to use.
What's great about it: Easy to use,
What's not so great: N/A

I use this program every year and another tax companies double check couldn't find anything that was missed!!!

Runs great - just not on my PC

I would rate this software as 5 star if it ran on my PC (Linux).
What's great about it: Well organized system
What's not so great: Does not run on my PC (Linux) so I must borrow a system.

Almost perfect

Has problems pulling the correct information from W-2 for RITA, city income tax. Several years in a row has pulled in the information for the Local School District Tax, this year it would not allow me to edit to fix error. This needs fixed!!
Other than that, it's pretty remarkable

We had a complicated return this year (self employed, home office, foreign adoption) and Turbo Tax had all the answers or told us where to find the answers.
What's great about it: Simple
What's not so great: Wish it came with live chat

Does the job

I used to be a tax preparer and TurboTax performs as well as the tax professional software that the firm I worked for used. The walkthrough guidance provided can be a little annoying if you know what you are doing but I was able to easily jump right into the forms and go through it that way. After I finished I let TurboTax run me through the usual review which was as thorough as the user allows and give you a nice snapshot of areas you might have missed. I would definitely recommend this to rookies and pros alike as it is friendly for the inexperienced and easy to use if you know your way around.
What's great about it: Has a walkthrough for newcomers or go straight to the forms if you are a pro
What's not so great: None come to mind.

2013 Tax Return

I have been using Turbo Tax for since 2000 and each year it becomes easier and easier to do my taxes. Turbo Tax stays up to date on Tax changes and the Help feature is great. Whether it’s the online self-help or the live interaction assistance, I have always had my question answer quickly.
What's great about it: Easy to Walk Through
