Love it!

I have used turbo tax for several years to file my taxes. it is simple to use. The import feature is awesome. And the transferring of data from year to year is awesome also....as long as your computer dont crash.

Same old Complaints

Once again, I like to print out my record copy and look it over as a whole before I print out for mailing. The Program has to be horsed around to do that.
Also some items in the State return are not expressed as clearly as they could be. Loss Carry over is not particularly easy.
I have use Turbo Tax for more than 10 years. I have been retired that long and it still makes me go through W-2 type questions and does not make clear my old age exemptions

What's great about it: Does great number crunching
What's not so great: Some parts still difficult to understand

Simplified My Life

Have been using for 10 years plus, the fill in from previous year saves a lot of time. First year I used downloading for W-2's and that worked great. Always itemize and it leads you through all the possibilities. Its just a simple quick way to do taxes including the e-filing.
What's great about it: Asked the right quistions & 5 year comparison great
What's not so great: Not aware of anything

Easy Return

Doing my taxes was easy. The program walked me through it all. I liked that I could download tax records from the bank. I also like that I could have my questions answered right away.
What's great about it: Easy, simple and fast.

There was a problem with my 8938 that I could not fix.
I had a total of 4 accounts - one of which was closed in 2013 and two that I opened in 2013.
When I specified the maximum values in each account, they were just added and reported on page 1, without considering the fact that all the maximum values did not occur at the same time since I was moving money between accounts. I would have liked to be able to override the total with the maximum value I had on a given day
What's great about it: It was easy to use
What's not so great: Might have liked if exchange rates were supported for my foreign income and 8938

Great product --- User friendly
Estimate taxes would be easier to use if you would show last years amounts when asking for next years estimate amount

I tried 4 times to submit a review wirh my nickname plus three alternates and none were acceptable. I wanted to submit a favorable reivew because I have enjoyed Turbo Tax for ten years or more and would never think of using anything else, however, your review software is very frustrating. I';ll never submit another. Just let me submit this so that I can finish my darn taxes! Thanks.
