not bad for the first time

Overall being the first time using turbo tax it was easy. It had learn more buttons that explained things in a simple way. It really did walk you through it all very well. I was just a little surprised with the fees at the end to efile.
What's great about it: it walked you through with easy to understand" learn more" tabs
What's not so great: couldnt find where to put the state tax income and I was charged for the free state return

Great Product for the DIY'r

I have used Turbo Tax for my taxes since the early 80's. I have only been audited once and it was due to a mistake I made. Other than that, Turbo Tax is fully reliable. The program walks you through each phase of filing the tax return and then does a double check at the end. If you have a simple personal or business return, you can do it yourself. You can prepare both federal and state returns, and get free e-file for Federal. I will continue to use Turbo Tax until I am no longer able.

Generally it is a very good program and have used it for years. It did seem like some of the updates and changes to how things are dun made it harder to fallow this year.
What's great about it: It walks you through it well.
What's not so great: Some of the explanations were a little vague
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Simple is as simple does. Glad I used this product. It's not magic, but when you see the completed forms, it feels like it. A little pre-organization helps, but TurboTax does the heavy lifting.
What's great about it: A peaceful walk through the Valley of Tax Death
What's not so great: Deleting old contribution organizations required some jiggering on the forms during review.

Quick & Easy

TurboTax makes it easier than ever to do taxes. My only con is that for some reason when I move the program to a new PC TT does not move my prior year files. That may be user error rather than a TT issue.
What's great about it: Fast, easy, thorough
What's not so great: Hard to move old files to new PC
