I have used Turbo Tax for many years and have been very pleased with the outcome. Simple and Accurate This year I was given incorect information when filing for my mother-in-law and decease father-in-law (DOD 01/01/2013). Turbo Tax said that the forms could be e-filed, but tried to e-file twice and twice rejected. After visiting the local federal IRS office, state IRS office and SS office I was told that it could not be e-filed. SS locks the SSN of the deceased and cannot/will not unlock it due to possibility of ID fraud, therefore it is rejected and can only be papered filed. Please review before next year. Thank you
What's great about it: Easy and accurate
What's not so great: Misinformation about e-filing for a deceased spouse.

Hard to print a had copy for review

1) the 2013 version is slow
2) I could not find a way to print a hardcopy for my review prior to submission.
Next year I plan on using another tax software

Turbo Deluxe

This is the first year in fifteen that I've been using Turbo Tax where I was disappointed in its quality. I am unable to print tax returns from the program and forced to save them as PDFs and then print the PDFs. In the past, you have done better. Next year I may try TAX ACT.

Without a doubt the easiest and most complete way of preparing and filing a federal tax return.

Easier Than Ever

Over time, the interfaces have gotten easier and easier to use. I especially like the ability to quickly switch from "step by step" to "forms" and then back.
What's great about it: Happy with amount of info that transfers from past years.
What's not so great: Timing for completing foreign tax credit form is too delayed.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
