It's simple

Just have all your w-2's and billing statements together in some kind of order. Just read as they instruct you through the world of a accountant. Just that easy.
What's great about it: Keep your tax's to yourself
What's not so great: Make sure your computer works.

Easy Again!!!

I've been using TurboTax for about 10 years. I worked for a big "tax" firm for two tax seasons. I feel TurboTax does as well as the "big firm" software.
What's great about it: Always very intuitive
What's not so great: Unable to retrieve my 2012 file - corrupted on my machine and not available online
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easiest Return Ever

My financial experience is limited, but with Turbo Tax, even I feel comfortable filing my own taxes. I have several deductions, but Turbo Tax literally takes me through every single possibility and has super awesome help menus if I'm uncertain about definitions. My taxes aren't complicated to file, but it's a nice achievement for someone who doesn't do this on a normal basis. Very convenient. Even the price of the software is less than I would pay a tax professional. Excellent service and one I will use, hopefully, for years to come.
What's great about it: Walks you through every possible deduction.
What's not so great: None

2013 Fed 1040 Tax Return

• I have used Turbo Tax annually for 10+ years.
- Contributions: Why not enter the Organization name, address and description at the same time rather than later asking for the address after already entering the other information? Also why not alphabetize the organization names for ease of entry..
- It would be nice if one could print the inputs for each category as you proceed through the question/answer phase of entering Federal information. For example, show the mileage AND the $ amount on the same summary so one can relate the two.
• For State Use Tax input, why not enter the Total Amount owed rather than asking for each individual entry for (in my case) 65 items? Not worth my time entering 65 items!
• It would be nice if there was a guidebook on using the Turbo Tax program with the Questions laid out the way the program asks.
• I have my own Excel Worksheets maintained all year long and use them to check the Turbo Tax result at tax time. If I did not do that, I would not have confidence in Turbo Tax results.
What's great about it: Transfer of prior year Turbo Tax return information to current year. E-filing is great!
What's not so great: Federal Cash/Non-Cash Contributions are "disjointed." MI State "use tax" info is too complicated to enter.

The best friend of any American!

I'm using TurboTax for last 17 years. I have no financial education, but easily do my family's taxes, including the complicated situations (small business, home ownership, foreign income, etc.). Thank you, guys, for providing me with such user-friendly tool!!!
What's great about it: Efficient, easy-to-use, to-the-point

I was not looking forward to this tax season because it was a bit more complicated than years past. TurboTax made it a breeze and I was relieved to file and move on. Thanks again for the great product! I have now used you guys for 8 years in a row and could not be happier.
What's great about it: Very easy to navigate through the entire process!
What's not so great: No cons for me!
