Not a Bad Experience!

Turbo Tax not only transfers basic personal information from the previous year's return, but shows the forms, income and deductions from the previous year. This feature is helpful so you don't have to have that information on hand to complete your return.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is simple to use.
What's not so great: Really, have no complaints.

over all great experience until I tried to efile then got hit with turbo tax plus... really would like to get an explanation why

Very user friendly and inexpensive compared to a
"professional preparer", who in reality is likely using software very similar to do the same thing.
Of course my returns are typically rather straight-forward, so I cannot speak to anything extremely complicated.
I have used Turbo-Tax for the past 9 or10 years a have had no complaints thus far.

submission was a major problem

Program worked great until it came time to submit. Tried to pay, program crashed. Tried again, crashed. Repeat several times. Payment goes through, software refuses to file without making me pay again. Pay again, payment goes through. Go forward with e-filing only to have it say it can't do it because the software needs updating. Fine, except there are no updates. With another restart of the program it managed to submit it.
For an "easy to use, simple" software program, actually getting it to follow through with sending the data was awfully hard.
What's great about it: asked good questions, got all the relevant information
What's not so great: submission crashed multiple times during payment processing, charged twice, then refused to e-file

Once again easy as 1, 2, 3

After more than 20 years of using Turbo Tax you always wonder how they can keep making it better, but each and every year they do. With all the info stored for the previous year, you can really get your taxes done in an afternoon if you have all your documents ready. My only grip this year is when I uploaded the software it did not look for software updates automatically like it has in the past. I had to go search for the update so I could finish a section on state tax. It was still easy to do, but an auto update would be the icing on the cake. Keep up the great work and we'll see you next year, JR.

Easy to use

VERY easy to go step by step only problem I had was it didn't print any of my deductions on the Federal taxes
What's great about it: talkes you right thru it
What's not so great: doesn't print all pages of Federal return

Quick & Easy

My taxes are rather simple, so Turbo works great for me. It provides a simple, easy and quick way to process my tax information in a very non confusing way. Since I use Turbo in the past, my information is easy to transfer over and if I need to look up old information on any past tax returns, I can. Couldn't use the picture portion in the review.
What's great about it: Simple to use, worked quickly and was easy
