2013 Income Tax Preparation

It is never fun to prepare income tax documents. Turbo Tax makes it very simple. There is no need to consult the tax manuals and tax tables. Filling in the blanks and answering the questions are extremely helpful.
What's great about it: Easy to understand- tutorials are great

Love this software. I have used Turbo Tax since around 2000. It is great and has adapted to various needs over the years.

Way to Go!!!!

Was a little hesitant doing our taxes - had always had a tax preparer. Used Turbo Tax last year and decided then that we would continue to use it. It basically asks the same questions a tax preparer does and you can do your taxes at your convenience.
What's great about it: Quick and easy
What's not so great: None that I can think of.

Easy to use, but it is annoying that TurboTax kept trying to get me to upgrade to a version more expensive than Deluxe.

I've been using turbo tax for the past 7 or 8 years and I LOVE IT!! I have never had a problem with any of my tax returns and its quick and easy to e-file!!! I always get the maximum amount possible on my federal and state return!! This program is great for anyone who wants to file their tax return from novice to professional!!!

I've used TT for years, it is easy and comprehensive. I like that the prior year data is brought into the new return being filed.... makes the process faster. I also like the comparison to the prior year while completing the return and the "Tax History Report" that shows 5 years and prints out with my copy of the Federal return.
What's not so great: Should show medical expenses needed to be deductible for my level of income while completing the return.

Importing data from my investment and banking institution did not work correctly. I think it may well be because I bank and invest with the same firm.
What's great about it: Works fine
What's not so great: I have used the standard deduction for years, why can I not avoid entering deductions?

Made taxes much easier to do than when I tried to do them myself and didn't have to pay large fee to tax prep firm! Did have a few places I got stuck when there wasn't a help button to explain but eventually figured it out.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: not all pages had help button
