Overall is great. But I find it very frustrating that when I go back through a section I already worked on, it makes me answer all of the questions all over again without remembering my previous answers. It is making me do double work. I feel that I am more prone to making errors. It should have my answer (often just yes or no) already highlighted with a note like "previously you answered no".
What's great about it: can flip over to the forms to see how things are being processed
What's not so great: does not remember previously answered questions

Turbo Tax is Awesome

All in all Turbo tax is great, and I have used it for several years now. it is great to carry over info from year to year to save on time and effort, not to have to type it in. Importing W-2s is also a time saver. I trust Turbo Tax to cover the tax issues that change year after year and the checking for errors is taking a big load off of me the user. I trust Turbo Tax to help with my taxes and plan on purchasing it again next year.
What's great about it: Easy to use, guides cover everything that we needed, easy e-file, import info from previous year saves time and effort
What's not so great: cost up front, waiting for updates

What's great about it: so easy to understand
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

The Quick and Thorough Way to File

I continue to use Turbo Tax each year to file my taxes. It explains what I need to enter, and gives me more details if I need them. I prefer using Turbo Tax over an accountant since I can enter the information as I get the forms. If I realize I don't have a form, I can just come back to that portion when I get it.
What's great about it: All you have to do is go through the categories, and enter your information
What's not so great: It is a little unclear where information goes when you import data using files from other institutions

I like that I can work on my tax returns on my own time. I was able to start and stop when I wanted. I didn't have to drive and wait in an office. I was in my PJs most of the time and finished up in the middle of the night long after my little one was sleeping. No valuable family time was missed. Instead of spending my time driving to someone's office and waiting there, we spent the day out. And as an added bonus, by preparing our returns myself, I saved enough money to cover dinner and a movie.
What's great about it: There was no waiting at an office. I didn't even need to get dressed.
What's not so great: No cons here.

Overall good product

My taxes have been completed by a CPA/tax professional for years, Turbo Tax covered the same ground and I finished in one day.
What's great about it: Quick, thorough, easy to use.
What's not so great: Some minor inconsistencies with windows 8 declaring no pdf reader, which was inaccurate.

Some confusion

This is the 3rd time I have prepared my own return - and I LOVE doing it - Turbo Tax is user friendly and actually provides a feeling of confidence during the preparation and at the finish of the preparation. There are two areas that I feel could be improved - although you can" extract" financial information from investment companies - reading the wording on the investment document and the words on Turbo Tax often leave me puzzled as to what is really being asked - sometimes I click and hope for the best answer.
Secondly, why is there a fee for the state tax return? If I perform it directly on the state website, there is no fee??

What's great about it: Feeling the confidence Turbo tax has in me preparing my own return;
What's not so great: Not having immediate help with confusion e.g. dividends and distributions
