Mostly good, one MAJOR irritation

The best parts of TurboTax remain intact, but it now shills the user for an upgrade for stock sales, and makes entry of stock sale data unreasonably difficult.
What's great about it: Fast, if you have used Turbo Tax before
What's not so great: Common tax situation nearly requires expensive upgrade
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Another year with Turbo Tax

I've done my taxes with Turbo Tax for 9 years and it only gets easier. I don't have to know any tax code, you just answer the questions.
What's great about it: Easy to use, thorough, free e-File
What's not so great: none

2013 Taxes

I have used TurboTax for many years and found the Federal Tax program easy to use and accurate. This year I had a bit of trouble figuring out what data went where with the sale of one home and purchase of another. Once I figured that issue out everything went smoothly with our Federal Taxes.
The state program for NC has a bug that made it very difficult to go back an correct some data I had entered. Otherwise it seemed to work fine.
What's great about it: Federal program easy to use.
What's not so great: State of NC program was problematic. Hard to get where I needed to go to make a change.

having moved late last year to another state it was good to have information as I went along guide me so I could see what was needed to adjust my filing statist.
What's great about it: a little easier this year
What's not so great: not many, but could always back track to correct.

Like being able to access real tax forms, but this feature is not the easiest to spot. Might make it more available for folks that want to look at what they are doing at the time.
Nickname selection is ridiculous!
What's great about it: loved download capability from my broker!
What's not so great: Not many...have been using for years and I am a volunteer tax preparer using other software at my volunteer site!

Turbo tax makes doing taxes as least stressful as possible. There is helpful information on areas I needed help with.

Quickest and Easiest

I hate that it keeps trying to get me to file my state taxes when I don't pay state.... AND it will repeat the reminder but this is minor and not worth more than wishing they fix it!!! Anyone really can do their taxes with turbo tax!!! No need for an accounting degree.
What's great about it: Everything!
What's not so great: telling me to file state taxes that I don't pay....
