As usual, while the weather was miserable outside

As usual, I did my taxes for fed and state in one afternoon and am looking forward to my efile refund soon!
What's great about it: I was inside, enjoying a hot cup of cocoa, a crackeling fire, my golfriend and of course, my Turbo Tax Program.
What's not so great: Exempt of all negative comments at this time; does not compute!

I like all of the previous year's date is transferred to the current year.

Challenge Made Easy and Painless

I would like it if Turbo Tax used the filing year's form to help prepare you for filing the following year.
After you've finished, answer a few questions about expected changes (or gonna-stay-the-same).
Then provide a list of deductions, information, information we should be preparing, saving, recording, filing - whatever - to assist in filing the following year.

We need to do better recording mileage to doc apts.

What's great about it: It was easy, concise and confirmed what we had done on paper - which will help our confidence in using Turbo next year
What's not so great: We weren't prepared for some of the itemize deductions. Oh well, our bad.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

What's not so great: would have liked a MISC section in ITEMIZED DEDUCTIONS for business expenses...not all of my deductions fit into named c

Overall consistant wit prior years

There needs to be a path for small home based businesses to follow so that the user doesn't get stuck in tax or legal terms.
IE if the small business is a corporation, the owners may take earnings from the business as compensation to officers - couldn't find a reference anywhere

Super Money Finder

This is the first time I used TurboTax Deluxe software. I have always used H&R Block Deluxe which always included one free state e-file. Both programs are similar, but I would give the edge to Turbo Tax, since t is easier to follow. Sorry H&R Block, you never found my billions, but Turbo Tax did find a couple thousands.
What's great about it: Fast and Easy
What's not so great: No free state e-file

Okay - It is taxes though

I used TT last year for the first time. This year went well until I had to enter a 1099-B with some information missing. I wanted to know how much or how little the Premier version would help with this. I could not find a good answer.
The program is easy to follow and appears to be very detailed. The hints and tips offered while filling in the returns were helpful.

What's great about it: Easy to navigate through forms
What's not so great: Unclear what kind of help is available in upgraded versions
