Easy to file

Have used turbo tax for many years and am completely happy with this program. It leads me thru the taxes and finds any mistakes I make so I can correct them..

Great... with a Caveat

Great product with easy steps except when you make a mistake, in your input of complicated "Proceeds From Broker" figures. If you make a mistake (the Error Checker will tell you... which is very good), it is best to just delete the entire document and start all over for that particular 1099-B. It all worked out, but had a duplicate, until I figured it out. The Error Checker is wonderful at identifying the conflict.
What's great about it: Ease of Input and Error Checker
What's not so great: Complicated 1099-B's are TRICKY

Overall, very disappointed. I have used Turbo Tax for several years. Unlikely I will use it again.
What's great about it: Step by step guide
What's not so great: Forms not available. Did not allow access to state tax forms.

Easy

Pros - Almost everything was quick and easy. Completed Federal and two state returns in less than 90 minutes.
Cons - No explanation was given to explain that if you live in CA and earn money in GA, apparently CA will collect the difference between the GA and CA tax.
What's great about it: Menu driven process is very easy and fast
What's not so great: Some explanations are incomplete
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

The process was clear and straight-forward. The only problem I encountered was in launching the state program -- I had to go back to the start of the Federal.
I think that the state version is overpriced.
What's great about it: The process was quite self evident
What's not so great: I had a problem launching the state version

Another very simple Tax Return

I have been using Turbo Tax for 21 years and it is worth every penny if for nothing else than peace of mind. The easy to follow prompts work well for first time users or can be passed over for seasoned veterans.
What's great about it: Easy transfer of information from previous years
What's not so great: Extra Fees for e-Filing State return

You're Awesome

I've been using Turbo Tax for at least 20 years and have never been disappointed. It seems to get easier every year. The easy use of the itemized deductions is awesome. On years I've sold some investments, Turbo Tax makes it easy to by walking you through the whole process. I would recommend Turbo Tax to everyone. Thanks again for a great tax process.
