Turbo Awesome

I found Turbo Tax very easy to use. It took me less than an hour to fill everything in and to e-file. I have been using Turbo Tax for more than 10 years without problems. Thanks to those that developed this package.
What's great about it: Was very to the point and quick

TurboTax - plus and minus

worth the money if you have more than the simplest return, for them, there are free versions available.
What's great about it: did calculations automatically, entry not too difficult.
What's not so great: left me confused, set up "estimated tax" for next year. I won't owe any, this year was unique. Now what do I do?

Easy to use tax preparation. until you want to print your return.
Adobe XI keep popping up and will not let you print the return until you buy the software. I tried saving and printing still it will not let me open unless I buy the software which is expensive.
Will lose a lot of customer if this keep happening.

What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Cannot print return due to AdobeXi popping up to sell you the software. It is frustrating

Very disappointed in help with college expenses

I've used Turbo Tax for years but have found it being less and less helpful each year. A little too simplified. This year I was extremely disappointed in it's handling of tuition and related expenses for the American Opportunity Tax Credit. Turbo Tax asked me for the information off my dependent child's 1098-T, but nothing about other expenses and fees that are allowable under that credit. I had to find the forms and manually flip through the forms and supporting worksheets to enter this information myself. Very disappointing.
What's not so great: Too disjointed from actual forms

Did NOT do the Expected

I believe I had a competitors file from (2012) last year. The only thing that uploaded from last year was my name and ssn and my dependent's names and ssns, nothing else!
I have a second residence in another state, the state programs did not handle this well at all. The first state was free; however, the second state very costly. Also, both states had an expensive e-file charge.
What's not so great: Only one state free - nailed big time for the second state, no state e-file free

Very easy to use as always... Been using this product for over 10 years now.
What's great about it: Easy and thorough for a simple file
What's not so great: It's deductible no longer available for local install
