My state return

This is the first time I have had trouble with Turbo. All ofhters before have gone smoothly. The error that kept popping up on the rejection had the justification sheet. Each time reviewed, subsequent rejection on my Iowa return. Hope this will be the only instance to happen.
What's great about it: ease of geneeral input
What's not so great: state would not accept even after all review checks, 5X

Turbo Excellence

I've used Turbo Tax for years and it's still going strong, it just gets better and easier to do my taxes every year.
What's great about it: Ease, accuracy, and fast.
What's not so great: Haven't found any yet.

Worked Fine

For the most part, TurboTax is easy to use and complete. I occasionally had some difficulty determine exactly what information I was to enter. This was not a major problem, just a small annoyance. I have used TurboTax exclusively for the last several years (more than 10 years) and plan to use it again for my 2014 return.
What's great about it: Fairly easy to navigate and use. Versatile in being able to switch back and forth between EasyStep and Forms.
What's not so great: Some screens are not easily interpreted in terms of the information to be entered.

Easy as it gets

TurboTax is very user friendly. I only had a little bit of time so I started one day and finished up another.
What's great about it: You can start and finish up later if need be
What's not so great: You paid money to the government

Near Perfect

When I do my first and second review of the forms, I keep printing worksheets I don't want. Even if I hit the button that says forms only, I keep getting worksheets. I may need this for my file when I do a final print, but I don't want them when I am doing reviews.
What's great about it: Works well except printing
What's not so great: Can't print just forms for rewview without worksheets

Discouraging for print-to-file state returns

I've successfully and happily used TurboTax for the Mac since the 2004 tax year. Its strength and ease of use have been consistent during all of that time.
This year, I happily went through the usual process. I appreciate the convenience of e-filing my federal return at no extra cost, but chose not to do so with my state return because of the cost. This has always been a simple process -- after e-filing the federal, it walked me through printing to file the state return.
This year, after wrestling with a failed federal transmission and going to the help site to figure out what was missing (to no avail), I figured out on my own that the PIN selection process had hung things up. I successfully re-did the filing, and the program thanked me for filing the federal return.
Then, no state filing walk-through was offered. I had to rifle through the help site to figure out how to do this using the printing drop-downs. The un-intuitive process was highly frustrating for me -- and I've been successfully using technical computer programs since learning FORTRAN-IV in college.
This year I was disappointed with TurboTax, and will investigate alternatives for next year. Although I likely will stick with TurboTax, my opinion of the program is diminished.
What's great about it: The usual strong calculations, tax walk-through
What's not so great: After e-filing federal, the program decided I was invisible

Super Easy!

An easy and affordable way to do my taxes!!! Now if only I had someone to organize the material for me all year round.
What's great about it: They asked all the right questions!
What's not so great: Having to pay extra to submit "free" state forms.
