Turbo tax is the only and best way for our family to get tax refund every year! It helps us a lot in saving time and money, especially in knowing right away what we'd done as well as what we'll get as return. When we work with Turbo Tax, we feel like we're working with someone: easy and comfortable! Thanks so much this awsome technique !
What's great about it: Turbo tax is the only and best way for our family to get tax refund every year!

why it was not excellent

for the last few years, when we have used Turbo Tax, if a form was not available, as soon as it became available you just had to click and download. This year it was more confusing because we kept getting the message the form is not ready but we found out that it was . But you had to "go out of the box" to get it. An explanation for that would have been great. Other than that: awesome.
What's great about it: very easy to follow instructions, importing of information
What's not so great: this year we did not have the automatic downloading of the forms that were not initially available.

Overall great experience. It would be helpful if you could go to the forms view highlight a specific line and have the program take you to where you would enter that information.
What's great about it: Step by step directions
What's not so great: "Help" needs improvement.

OCD Heaven!

I have used Turbo Tax for years and this year has been the easiest to navigate.Having been a tax professional, it was important to me that everything I knew I needed was included in the program. We experienced a home sale, retirement, investment income, new jobs and a move out of state. E-filed and will be sleeping very easy tonight!
What's great about it: Gets to all the details, but in an easy to use manner
What's not so great: Price for second state return could be lower... :-(
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

What's great about it: easy to understand, imported previous information, uploaded most current updates
What's not so great: tried online help to no avail

Another Easy Return

I find TurboTax to be extremely easy to use in preparing to submit my federal and state taxes each year. I've used this product for several years now and have submitted my returns with full confidence that my submission is error free. I highly recommend this product for anyone who wants to prepare and easily file their taxes.
What's great about it: I like how easily TurboTax walks me through the process of filing my taxes.
What's not so great: I found questions regarding the refinance of my home to be somewhat confusing.

Three out of the four returns I prepared did not transmit on the first attempt because of pending updates. This is totally unacceptable. I have program set to check for updates at the start of each session. Why is this happening? Program should check for updates before allowing you to transmit. Seems like a very easy fix and problem that should not occur.

2013 better than 2012. So far, but we'll see.

The 2012 was a nightmare. We owed on the Federal side and chose to have the money taken out of our checking account. I input the data and it indicated that everything was all set. Of course TT does not give a confirmation number, so I have nothing to prove that I submitted the Federal and have the owed money deducted from checking. To my surprise we received a letter from the feds stating that we were late filing our taxes! Of course there is no way whatsoever to prove that I submitted the return. No confirmation number. Nothing. After doing some research I discovered that a lot of people had problems with the 2012 returns. We have used Turbo Tax for the last Ten years with no problems. If I experience anything similar with the 2013 version I will stop using Turbo Tax and switch to Tax Cut.
What's great about it: Easy to use. No Glitches
What's not so great: Does not give a Confirmation Number when e-filing.
