Overall good experience. Next year should be even easier.
What's great about it: Appreciate the ability to transfer data from previous year, helpful reminders/prompts, etc..
What's not so great: Not clear how to turn off the computer and resume later where you left off.

TurboTax sure beats paying an accountant to do this work, especially for people like us who have only a moderately complicated return.
What's great about it: Imported stuff from 2013 return; tried hard to find deductions
What's not so great: Is there a way to "cut to the chase" and automatically go to standard deduction? We never itemize!

E-file did not work.

Had to restart Mac and Turbo Tax after E-file asking for updates when none were available. Not happy with this years filing!

2013 Review of Turbo Tax

I've used Turbo Tax for many years, and have enjoyed the experience. I only hope that the problem with the state taxes, which is a first, doesn't happen again without receiving more directions from Turbo Tax on how to handle it. I would still rate Turbo Tax extremely high.
What's great about it: On the federal form, Turbo Tax made it extremely easy to complete the forms and finish.
What's not so great: My state hasn't accepted federal changes-Turbo Tax only said I needed to amend federal with no other directions!

Since I started using Turbo tax it has become easy to file my taxes. I especially like the E-File option since that doesn't require me to send bulky paper returns via USPS. I also like the ease of use of each section of the retrun. It helps me to remember things that I might otherwise forget to include.
