TurboTax continues to get it done

Overall kudos to TurboTax for improving on the program every year. The assisted form filling system works very well and data entry was easier than ever this year. One area that could be clearer is just before e-filing where it is recommended that you review your return prior to filing. It uses a "print return" button to review, but it says not to worry about printing because there's plenty of time to print after filing. It's also not clear whether anything in the return printing will change after e-filing.
What's great about it: Very user friendly methodology that walks you through the entire return. Easy filing as well.
What's not so great: Some help boxes could be more informative. Was disappointed that capital gains section wasn't fully ready until late Feb

TurboTax is real easy to use. You are prompted and asked all through the process. Your form is checked and I have used this method for years and so far no problems at all.
What's great about it: fast and easy

I am a retired 71 year old who is a neophyte when it comes to computers and their workings.
I purchased the Turbo Tax Deluxe software about 10AM, and brought it home and installed. By 1:30 PM I was completed. Forms printed off, attachments done. I have just got to mail it now. My wife is too old fashioned to allow me to use e-file. Of course this was the 5th time that I have used Turbo Tax,

difficult to e-file

program repeatedly tells you to check for updates in order to e-file, even though there aren't any. based on previous reviews it seems like a problem only when using a MAC.
What's great about it: easy to prepare taxes

Taxes done -- no headache

TurboTax makes filing taxes easy the first time you use it and even easier in subsequent years by saving information from your prior year's return so you don't have to re-enter it each year. For most financial institutions and other providers of tax info, they make it easy to transfer the information electronically. Guides you easily through the return, checks it and provides a thorough record for your files at the end. With TurboTax electronic filing is also made easy. Excellent product!
What's great about it: Comprehensive -- guides you through everything step by step.
