Awsome Filing

I've used Turbo Tax for many years and wouldn't do it any other way. I've put a lot of friends onto Turbo Tax who were afraid to try it and now they're hooked too. Thanks very much!
What's great about it: All so easy
What's not so great: Nothing

Pros and cons Turbo Tax Deluxe

I like the software. It took less time for me than a year ago and the error that required me to amend my return last year was fixed.
On the other hand but I was held hostage for 2 weeks of daily updates not allowed to file due to Form 8960. My children were frustrated that the obama care buttons do not have choice for them. The its deduct able model for donations of food and clothing and household items was pretty good and continues to improve.
I always worry I am missing a prior year carryover but it was accurate this year.
I like the link to brokers without the higher version, and the W-2 integration were alone worth the price but I wish there was a cheaper state e-filing for dependent children.

Easy

I like using Turbo Tax because I trust the program. I don't like it because every year it becomes more expensive to purchase. I have been using the product for many years and I remember when I used to be able to file the state returns for free.
What's great about it: Quick, Easy
What's not so great: More expensive than previous years

I had been using another software pkg but found it confusing and it was causing me to overlook deductions. I switched back to TurboTax. What I like best is the continual update/review which it provides as I enter my data. For me, this is very important because it makes things much clearer and easier to understand. While this might be a negative for some people, I like this feature very much because it feels like I have a real person guiding me as I do my return. It helped me enter deductions that I had neglected in previous returns. This was especially helpful this year since I had taken a large distribution from an IRA and needed every deduction I could find. Thank you.

They offer you suggestions and give you detailed info on how to file your taxes in the most efficient manner!!
What's great about it: Quick and easy...they walk you right down the best path for you.
