Easy Street

Everything was easy until I got to the Foreclosure of my home and then it was tough to follow, I had to keep coming back to it and I did not have the proper document (form) from the mortgage company.
What's great about it: Very easy to follow the directions
What's not so great: Tough on Foreclosure
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great but for one problem

Overall was more than helpful in getting a moderately complex federal and state return done but there continues to be a problem handling royalty income on the Utah state tax form. I spent HOURS and a lot of phone time last year and paid for a e-file of my state return that was never excepted because of an issue with a state tax id. I will be avoiding that and just do what I ended up doing last year and just snail mailing my state form. Fix that problem and I will give a five star rating!
What's great about it: Very complete but OH so fast to do a moderatly complex return
What's not so great: Still has issues with reporting royalty income to the state of Utah

i have used turbo tax for the past 4 years and will continue using it as long as I am comfortable doing my own taxes. Thank you for coming up with a software that even a non tech savy person can undersand!

When I receive statements from my shareholder services provider, it would be nice to import tax data from their web site rather than enetring manually for each individual payer's, which I don't have direct access to.

Great Program!

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and it has consistently reminded me of deductions I can take that I might have otherwise forgotten. In doing so, I have seen my refund(s) jump a couple hundred dollars in some instances! This program is fantastic and I would never consider using any other tax software out there. It's Number 1 in my book!!

For another year I simply don't understand why people with relatively straightforward finances don't use this product. It's so EASY. It "interviews" you to walk you through the right information to enter (not having to shuffle through forms, schedules, lines, charts, tables, etc.) and puts the RIGHT data in the RIGHT form to make the RIGHT decision. It imports all information from last year (I forgot about a Capital loss carryover, Turbo Tax didn't!!!). Each year they improve on the product and provide updates.
Keep up the good work and I'll be first in line to purchase again next year.

Turbo Tax 2013

Does not automatically calculate Michigan pension deductions. Even when filling form in with overrides it does not print all of the information.
I will look for other tax prep solution next year.
