Overall it's the best thing going for small business owners and people who have Side-jobs that are closer to hobbies than jobs, but money exchanges hands… so you've got to claim it!
What's great about it: Easy to use… IRS seems to trust it!
What's not so great: A bit pricey… too many gimmicks to make an extra buck by Intuit!

Turbo helps "KIS"

Truthfully, I've been using TurboTax since 2005 and every subsequent year I've been pleased to see even small improvements in usability and features. The interface has become clearer and where "Help" falls short, the user community comes to the rescue with advice and instruction. Props to them. This year Nonresident and Part-resident handling helped really simplify my daughter's tax return. It's a fine line I walk between wanting to correctly do all my taxes, while also expecting to receive ALL the tax breaks that Federal and State (ALL those I need) laws allow me. Turbo thus far has always helped me remain confident in the accuracy and appropriateness of ALL my returns. Thanks for the peace of mind.
What's great about it: Detailed interview process simplifies complexities , fast recalculation, error discovery, help resources and risk meter
What's not so great: Some very complex situations as with scholarships or pay from an out of state business can be unclear
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Is this the same hamster you had last year? Our return is simple and quick to complete. If someone can't do their taxes with your program they are in trouble with everything in life. Those working on these programs should feel good that they are helping people in the confines of their homes and not at some mall. Good! I have more than 50 words!!
What's great about it: the steps are easy to follow and it seems to know what to ask.
What's not so great: Lower the cost! (I'm just kidding)

This is my 3rd year and it appears to work well. Cost is much less than taking it to an accountant.

State tax refunds- didn't show up on 1040, Had to research to find out why. Could have been on screen note and saved time.
IRA withdrawal entry led to explanation of "excess contribution withdrawal" that I never had.
Other than those 2 items everything went very smooth.
What's great about it: Transfer of info from 2012
What's not so great: Not always transparent
