Best Ever Filing!

I have been using Turbo Tax since 2004 and it keeps getting easier to use. It takes the fear out of filling your taxes on your own instead of having someone else do them. Its smooth sailing!
What's great about it: The step by step questions to complete the returns is wonderful. The tips help tremendously.

Fairly Easy

Overall the experience was positive and quick. However, The sections relating to HSA contributions and Medical Expenses under deductions and credits was a little confusing. The wording could be better with examples showing what is needed. This was the second year we have had to fill out the HSA sections and it hasn't gotten any easier. It's to vague.
What's great about it: Quick, Detailed.
What's not so great: HSA
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

CONTRARY TO WHAT YOUR DIRECTIONS SAY, YOUR PROGRAM WOULD NOT LET ME E FILE MY FEDERAL AND HOLD MY STATE TO COMPLETE LATER. THIS FORCED ME TO MAIL MY FEDERAL.
What's great about it: VERY THOROUGH REVIEW OF DATA
What's not so great: VERY HARD TO WADE THROUGH PAPER WORK FOR FOREIGN TAXES.

Form 8960

The whole issue with the delay of form 8960 really turned me off of Turbo Tax because it took too long for Turbo Tax to come to the conclusion that form 8960 needed to be released and allow the tax payers to make the decision to file independently. I will not get my refund until mid March which put me in a bad position. I am considering not using Turbo Tax next year.
What's great about it: Efficiency
What's not so great: Slow reaction time to issues

I've used TurboTax for years and love it. It makes filing much easier and less expensive. Highly recommend using TurboTax.

Disappointed compared to past Turbo Tax years

1. My Federal Turbo Tax did not transfer the correct Roth IRA disbursement info to my state tax form. My federal Roth IRA disbursement is non-taxable. When that federal info was transferred to my state form, it recorded it as TAXABLE income, which is incorrect. I had to manually change the incorrect data that Turbotax recorded on my state tax form. It's a good thing I noticed the error. The difference went from me paying a state tax, to me receiving a substantial state refund. I was very disappointed with this error in Turbo Tax. It could have cost me a lot of money if I didn't recognize the error!
What's not so great: Trouble with Roth IRA disbursement as transferred from my federal form to my state form.
